Working on a paint elevation for POTUS at City Theatre. Mixing paint again. Laser cut the line drawing. Based on the presidential seal on Obama’s Oval Office carpet.

working on POTUS for City Theatre this fall.

I enjoy sharing process imagery- however now the process is so often on a screen.

Here is a screen shot of paint color and texture exploration…

Quick jaunt to the Barnes Foundation. Filled with inspiration. One of my favorite parts of gigs out of town- checking out the art in a new city. An exhibit which looked at Matisse’s trajectory and connection with Renoir. Plus- This building is a joy to be within!

Back in a theatre- this time at People’s Light in Malvern PA, outside Philly. The wonderful crew installing the flower crown above the set!

Laser cutting drafting onto basswood sheets. I planned this project as a midterm for the 3D fabrication class I audited, back at UMN in 2019. The school laser cutter couldn’t handle the drafting- it was so finicky about lines and shapes. My own glowforge had no problem! Happy to finally realize the idea. It was a couple years into switching to computer drafting and the very beginning of my appreciation for laser cutting.
